Does 3DS R4 come with built-in ray-tracing? If not, what is the best raytracer out that can translate .3DS files as close as possible? How good is Rayman? Where can I get any of these ray tracers? Thank You for your help BILL BOBOS

RayMan reads the 3DS file and uses the complete materials (with 2 texture mappings, bump, opacity, reflection and so on…). RayMan uses the complete ambient, omni and spot light settings (projector, rectangular, overshoot and so on…) Camera adjustment is also included. If you want more details read the RayMan announcement that I posted a few days before. And you can download the sample images in the 3DS section. Hi Michael, How can one acquire Rayman and how much will it cost? Also, I've downloaded the images you put in this forum but they didn't show much the results of Rayman. Maybe you can upload images showing samples, not only the interface. Thanks, Eni

Eni, There is a second file that was uploaded to the lib that contains a few good examples. Mark Yankee
