Now that the 3.1 ROMS have actually begun to ship, I no longer have to worry about trying to sell my new (used) A3000 for all the comforts of an A4000. However, I would like to upgrade it a bit in the near future. The problem that I've noticed is that people are having problems with certain chip revs when trying to install a Z3 video board or an '040 accelerator. The question I have is will I? I plan to install a GVP 4000/040 board which has its own memory, and I'm still deciding upon a Retina Z3, Picasso II, or GVP Spectrum. After checking my A3000, I've found that my Buster chip is a rev 07, Ramsey is a rev 04, and DMAC is a rev 02. Anyone know which chips I will encounter problems with? If so, any suggestions where to get a new batch of chips? Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Keith.
