#Industrial Video Setup?

A team was setup at the company I work for to investigate the
implimentation of a high speed digital video system. The system would
be activated when a break on a paper machine was detected, it (the
video system) would then record the event digitally for playback and
editing later. Would a Video Toaster system with something like
Newteks new non-linear editor work for this application? If so, what
kind of setup would I need? Money doesn't seem to be an object 🙂
and they would like to have a few video cameras at different
positions to record the break. Thanks in advance!
If you want 7 minutes or less of recording time you can use an Amiga
(2000, 3000, 4000) and a PAR card/TBC-IV combo. It can be trigered by
a contact closure on the mouse port. All you need is a detector to
close the circuit.
Approx. Prices:
PAR $1500.
TBC-IV $800.
1.6 Gig Hard Drive $1250.
