#Toaster Adjustments
7 messages in this thread
So nobody in this forum knows anything at all on how to set the
Toaster C-Freq tunable cap, or what test point to use? I've seen
other messages in this forum about this adjustment so somebody must
know something about it. Your help would be appreciated!
It should be right above the 0 in 4000. The test point is to the left
of it.
Thanks Joe for the information. Any idea on what kind of voltage the
Toaster wants at that test point? I know it's 1.7V, but AC or DC?
DC. One of mine actually likes 2.0. Experiment…Have fun. You can
spin the little critter all the way around and it won't hurt it. If
you can find a TBCIV Manual, look on page 100/101. Spells it out in
beautiful Black and White, pictures included. The test point is
called ERR1.
Joe, thanks for the information about the test point. I plan on going
over to my friends sometime this week and making the adjustments.
Wish I knew more about Video and the Toaster though. He asks me
advice on a lot of Video related questions that I just can't answer.
BTW, my friend has a couple of TBC-II's, so the information on the
adjustment is not in those older manuals.
With out proper test equipment, if you just want to set it so the
Toaster will work. What you can do is run a stable video signal to
the Toaster, turn on WB borders (its easeir to see with this on),
start Toaster, when it says toaster not responing, the screen will be
tearing along the workbench edges (this is where the boarder helps),
at this point adjust the Center frequency on the toaster slightly
either left or right untill the tearing goes away. at this point just
start the Toaster it should now be working.
Thanks Forrest for the information on setting up the Toaster, I'll
pass it along to my friend. BTW, I do have the proper test equipment,
at least for checking things with a scope, frequencies, etc.
