Howdy, I am having problems with a GVP I/O extender in an A4000. I
am using a supra modem and when someone logs off my BBS the SD lights
up and the AA light flashes in a very weird way! I also have a GVP
Series II controler, a EGS board, and a soon will have 2 Supra 28.8
modems. Will the new modems work?
The wierd reactions from your modem sound like a software setting in
your BBS software. I would contact the author of the BBS software,
as I have found that most of these issues have been resolved. It is
probably one of your settings, which is not taking the hardware
buffering into account. As for the Supra 28.8, they should work just
fine. I was using a Telebit modem running at 57,600 without any
problems.
