Also, I've had a strange situation of late: after installing an upgrade to 32MB of RAM, rendering 'test show-me' examples on 256-color *.FLC format hangs at a random frame sometimes – other times works like a charm (I'm rendering to NULL output device – i.e. no display). Any other format including all of the 16.8M-color *.JPG and *.TGA formats work perfectly every time! (no matter how many frames I render) The only symptom is finding the monitor with a "Rendering…" bar on-screen in a dead mode, with no response from <ESC> or any other keyboard entry (well – <CTRL><ALT><DEL> seems to work <g>…) at all. The hardware is standard generic – 486/66 VLB with 2GB cached hard drive (BTW – disabling the hardware cache has no effect), Orchid F1280VA/VLB w/2MB memory installed, double-speed CD/ROM and all the other neccessities, including a real Microsoft Mouse/2. This happened on _rare_ occasion before the upgrade, but now with great regularity. Also I use QEMM v7.04 for VM. This *never* happens if I install the Hercules Graphite/Pro VLB w/2MB RAM in place of the Orchid, but it's a real PIA to swap the two between the office and home machines, because I have to switch drivers for Windows, God and everything… Any ideas on this one?
