Anyone had any luck with Premiere and the PVR? I got the 4.0a update, but when I try to "make movie" I get an "Internal error"from Premiere. I have followed the directions in the manual for setup, but have not had luck. The files load properly and can be previewed in either Premiere on on the monitor. All seems fine until I try and output back to the Perception. It will MAKE an Indeo 3.2 file properly. I am not sure about the "cfcodec.avi" file. does this need to exist, if so how is it to be created? It seems by the documentation that this file is created by the CODEC and is some sort of swap file. Thomas, Although I am not an expert on Premier, it sounds like for some reason Premier isn't able to talk properly to your Perception card when it wants to write. It could be alot of things causing this. Sometimes the mirror directory gets messed up, and so files can't be "Dummied" properly or else I think your problem may be in the CODEC CONFIGURE: "advanced settings" in your Perception Software. Check the Perception manual again to see if your advanced setting match those that are recommended. These are just a couple of guesses since I don't use Premier, but I hope they help you. Take Care. Thanks Eron, I did finally get it to work, It seems that the Premiere interface is very particular in is file location requirement. I got everything working by making sure all specified files were in the DPS_PVR mirror directory. I was wanting to use my second drive instead of the primary drive. ( Iuse my primary drive for programs only since it's only a 1 gig drive. My secondary drive is 1.6 gigs and is used for all my network images. Thanks for your help, it sent me in the right direction.
