#WACOM tablet problem
5 messages in this thread
I am having a problem using the WACOM tablet driver that comes w/ Animator Pro.
I have a pressure sensitive stylus w/ a button on the side, but the driver
choices are for either pressure sensitive or side button, not both. Also, the
cursor periodically stops moving & I have to go back & "pick it up". The driver
file is from 1991. Is there a later version? Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
The date I have for my WACOM.IDR file is 10/15/92, and is 3,161 bytes in size.
I'll send that to youvia email in case this helps. And no, I don't know of a
later driver.
I'm not really familiar with the WACOM and AAPro, but would appreciate you
telling me which model WACOM you have, and describe your stylus? The one I
have here is without a side button and it's an SD 420E.
"I am having a problem using the WACOM tablet driver that comes w/ Animator

Did you get the driver I sent – and did it help at all?
The driver in Animator Pro was made for the (now) old SD-xxx tablets. These
tablets did not have a pressure sensitive stylus with side switch. The user
only had the choice between a pressure stylus without side switch or a click
stylus with side switch. The supportet data format is WACOM II.
The new tablets do have a pressure sensitive stylus with side switch. However,
because the tablet (initialised by the rather old driver) runs in WACOM II mode
not in the new WACOM IV mode, the user has to make a choice.
Nevertheless, as the only pressure sensitve tool is the air brush, and this
level of pressure support is quite humble, I used it as a click stylus with
side switch. The advantage is, that you can call the popup menues with the side
switch.

Go to the WACOM area on Compuserve and download PC221A.EXE. This 8/25/95 file
contains the latest WACOM drivers for Win 3.11, Win95, etc.
