#Need Graphics/CAD API

Hello! I have been developing database-centric applications for a few years now (Informix, Powerbuilder), and have recently started playing with MS-Visual C++ and MFC. Also, I am quite new to the whole area of graphics programming. I want to develop an engineering/CAD application for the graphical management of a network model, in two dimensions. The idea is to have an object-orientated design based on MFC library classes. The attributes of the nodes and links in the network model would be stored in a relational database. I believe MFC has database classes, which I could use for this purpose. For the 2-D graphical management of the node-link diagram (view whole diagram or subset, add link, modify link, delete link, grid functions etc.), could you recommend an API or a class library that would integrate with MFC, and allow me to provide such functionality? Could you also recommend resource material (books, articles etc.) which would provide pertinent background material for this task? Thanks a lot. Atul Varde

Atul Varde, I guess you should really ask this question over in the AutoCAD forum. type GO ACAD to get there. -Brian
