Network rendering v4
I'm getting the basics up and running on my network
configuration
NT 3.51 server
stations are
dos 6.22 using wfw net
win 95 using win95 net services.
In both cases I'm in dos (not a shell)
ODD things
1. I have one station that sits in slave mode, begins loading the project file
and locks up. This has the I/o on the mother board p5/90 20mb
2. After I rebooted the above machine, net queue shows it as ok, but the next
numbered machine is said to have failed. but it's running fine.
ie machine 3 failed, machine 4 running ok, but net queue is showing 3 as ok and
4 as failed
Other questions:
1. if a machine becomes available, (logs on…finishes previous render etc) is
there a way to
assign it to an existing queued item?
2. If a user returns and wants their cpu back, what should they do? Wait till
saving file is over?
Are there any other caveats I should be aware of?

addendum,
I've added 3 more stations
if any one of them fails net queue shows the next numbered station
as failed the the one that failed as ok
hmmmmmmm.
