#real slow play back

I use AA studio on a P90 64 megs of ram and I can not play a flic over 100 pixels wiith out very very solw gerky play back… Any suggestions??? Thanks

>> I use AA studio on a P90 64 megs of ram and I can not play a flic over 100 pixels wiith out very very solw gerky play back… Any suggestions??? << could be a number of reasons… 1) AAS uses the autodesk a lossless 24-bit codec which is intended for editing, not playback… save your avi's twice… once using 24-bit lossless format and once using a lossy codec like cinepak or indeo… use these for playback checking. 2) make sure you have a HUGE swap file. 3x RAM recommended. 3) make sure you have c1 update as this resolves many problems associated with playback. this is free. 4) one quick test is to have either player or Windows media player open for quick playback… (see option 1 above).. i also sometimes save as flc file and load into memory using scriptor (very fast playback). -dave
