Paul- Maybe you know, is there any truth to the rumours of an impending Emplant on a PCMCIA card? Paul

Yes the PCMCIA card is only being held up by the connectors (gee that sounds strange when I read it back), we should see them in … March (the earliest they could get quantity from a supplier). Ben, (Hey they don't pay my telecom time no more free ads) ^ | | tonight I did that.

Paul, Yep, there will be a PCMCIA Emplant for 1200s Just last night On GENIE Jim was lamenting about problems he is having getting PCMCIA connectors for the boards. Evidently his shipment is on a slow boat from Japan and he is upset since he feels that they could be selling 20000 a month if they only had the connectors. …AutoPilot Engaged… -Paul-

20k a month!?!?! Great gads of , well, maybe I shouldn't print that here. I'll prob'ly get one, but I'm worried about video performance. From what I've heard the Retina for 1200s will be PCMCIA too – and even if it wasn't it would do me no good since I've got a 12Gauge. I'm getting a 4000 soon, but I'll be filling that up with sound editing paraphernalia, so prob'ly no room for an Emplant. Life sucks. There should be PCMCIA slots on the 4000. There should be more Zorro slots on the 4000. There should be 16bit sound and 24bit video on the 4000. There should be speech synthesis and recognition on the 4000. And it should all perform at light speed and cost 57 cents. Paul
