#What to do?
2 messages in this thread
Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas on what would be the best
solution ( considering present conditions) for someone who has a Flyer system
but finds he needs to somehow get faster LW production so my Flyer can be
utilizied more efficiently. I have a stock A4000 Amiga. Do I get a standalone
LW (which is on sale to Aug. 15th at reduced price) with another platform or do
I look into something like cyberstrom or do I just hold tight and wait to see
if their are other options that might arise in this crazy market ( I have a
PowerMac, could this have a future with LW?)

I am making some difficult decisions myself. I have an Amiga 4000 and
Flyer and just got a 100mhz Pentium. I am carefully considering getting the
stand alone LightWave for $700.00, but at the same time if I new how good the
PC Toaster is I might opt to purchase it for a few hundred dollars more. That
would take care of transferring the files back to the Amiga/Flyer. I could
also take the external box on location and use other PC's to editing or
animation. Hmmmm…….What to do? Well, lets hope we make better decisions
than when we purchased the pre-released Flyer!
Good Luck,
