Would it be possible to network a CD32 with another amiga not only as a CD player but as a node? (being it is a full A1200). It would seem to be a waste if it was hooked up to another amiga only for its CD capabilties. Also it would be interesting if one would be able to use ,say , an A500 for the Keyboard, Hard & floppy disks and the CD32 for the AGA and 020. It would likely be cheaper than getting a A1200 being there are all those A500's (Like mine) out there. So you hardware developers out there, think about! **May the Guru never visit your workbench!** // Joe Costa \X/ (1.3 Hermit)

There are many problems with trying to network a stock CD32, significantly worse than with a CDTV. Mostly, the CD32 has no hardware to even potentially use for networking other than a serial kludge through the keyboard port (and that would be quite slow) and the expansion bus (which would be relatively expensive). The best bet for what you are interested in would be the computer expansion unit which should soon be available for the CD32. For most intents and purposes, it turns a CD32 into a CD1200. — Dale L. I see what you mean Dale, but wouldn't it be intersesting if you could treat the whole CD32 as a scsi device (If a scsi could be made to use the CD32's expansion slot) so any SCSI capable Amiga could run all its functions. Altough older ROM's probably wouldn't like working with 3.0… Well just dreaming, but I've seen the impossible many times in my Amiga's life and so who knows?? The A1200 kit for the CD32 sounds promising, and its a point that escapes the attention of all the non-Amiga magazines, after all you can't run a wordprocessor or a database on a 3DO or a Jaguar…
