Sorry so long in reply, have been out. My microp 1991 works very well usually. As others have said, it begins to studder at about 5 min left in capacity. I have it mounted in an oven. At first it would get so hot, I couldn't touch it. I opened both side doors, and directed a 14" fan on high speed right at it. Now it stays just above room temp. Sometimes I try running without the fan, but the drive gets warm, and then clip playback problems ensue. Mainly intermittent picture distortion on various frames. I may get several more to heat the building this winter. But really, as long as I keep it cool and reorganized (which can take several hours) it is performing as well as any I believe. However I don't often try HQ5. I usually need the capacity more than the increase in quality. Greg
