Puppeteer… How Good?

Mike,
I see you U/L'd examples using Puppeteer. How do you find the program
to work with ? Can you do much manual adjusting of motion files to give it a
more custom feel ?

I love using Puppeteer. I've actually been using Puppeteer with the manuals
ever since it came out. I just recently received the manuals.
There is a work flow you have to follow. When you do it becomes a very easy
interface to work with.
I've been on the beta list since day one.
On you question about customizing motion files. You can add motion to motion.
If you have a character just walking and you wanted to add a separate motion to
the hands and arms you can interpolate the motion.
Then if you want to do some face motion like talking and blinking eyes' you
can add it to the existing motion puppet. Puppeteer allows now vertex
deformation. Not on the mesh face level , but the vertex level. This adds more
control on deformations. You can add tell your hearts content.
I hope this information helps any more questions please ask.

Mike,
Thanks for the feedback. I plan to be spending alot of time building up my
character
animation examples and would like a stable, consistant enviorment to work in.

Glad to hear you find it that intuitive. One more question though, lets say I
manually create a specific motion, a person drinking a tankard of ale
perhaps..(Gee I'm thirsty), can that motion be stored and applied to other
characters that share a similar bone structure ?

What version of Puppeteer supports this? How much control do you have… is
it like Bones Pro in this aspect? Can you export morph targets?

The version is 1.10 has the vertex motion editor. I'm sorry too say no it does
not support morp targets, but that's a real good idea.

Sorry it took a few days to get back to ya. I went to Las Vagas
