Don't forget that this is not a continuous tone device like a dye sub printer.
This is more like a laser printer that must dither to get various degrees of
color. On a 300dpi laser printer printing a grayscale image you will get
around 60dpi. This is often called superpixels where multiple native pixels
are grouped together in dither groups to simulate different grayscale or color
values. You could probably get around 100-150dpi effective out of the 720dpi
mode of the Epson.
