I'm not surprised about the problem running a virus checker in a 512K machine.
We have a virus checker on the network at work that automatically runs when you
log on, one day each week. When I had a SCSI CD drive installed in my PC the
virus checker refused to run because I did not have enough conventional memory,
the SCSI driver pushed it over the limit. The thing I do not understand is, why
does a virus checker need so much conventional RAM?
