<<I've used the internet installer by Chris Laprise but find that the dialup script gets to CONNECT & then starts showing strange characters. My user i.d. flashes up but then the window disappears. A little later I get PPP failed message. Anyone had similiar problems? TIA>> Sounds like the startup is working OK (upto the "failed" message at least). As stated in the docs, the disappearing window is normal. Some people have reported PPP failures due to using an older PPP version (1.30 Eval is required). As someone else remarked, I recommend that you install & test it using a plain WB disk in order to determine if something in your normal WB is damaged or misplaced. At least try using "execute amitcp:bin/startinternet" from a Shell. Please let me know how things go… -Chris CNR Media Services

Chris, <<I recommend that you install & test it using a plain WB disk in order to determine if something in your normal WB is damaged or misplaced. At least try using "execute amitcp:bin/startinternet" from a Shell.>> I tried the "execute amitcp…" & had no joy. After reinstalling from my copy of WB3.0 however, it worked :-). Thanks! Will now try to get it going via a hard disk setup. -Cheers- Dom Sydney, Oz.
