I can rather easily make DOpus 5.0 or 5.11 crash on my Workbench 3.1-based
A2000. All I have to do is try firing up some concurrent task, such as opening
a prefs requester within DOpus while one of its file lister windows is busy.
Crash. Furthermore, scripts don't always work, even the plain-vanilla LHA one
that is supplied with 5.11. Tinkering has not solved the problem. I'm about to
try reinstalling the whole thing. When it works, it's great, but on my machine
it's too unstable to run constantly, or to use as a Workbench replacement.

Thanks for the comments. We find Opus 5.11 quite stable on a normal Amiga
system from WB2.0 – 3.1. We run it on 4 machines on a 14hr/day basis. Two
of these run as WBReplacement and two on its own screen. Each of Opus's
listers is a totally separate task so have no effect on other applications
etc.
So I can attempt to track your problem, please provide some details (to my
internet address below) of what you think is causing your problems.
Please also supply a list of what else you are using. There are some
programs which we have found are not compatible and can cause problems
because they incorrectly look for "workbench" etc.
The plain vanilla LHA script in the User Menu is very simply and just
takes the source files/dirs and archives them to the destination Lister
under the name provided. The Filetypes LHA settings (by default) either
display the list of the archive, or, if you drag and drop the archive will
de-archive it into the given lister. The only reason why these would not
work would be if the LHA was not on your command PATH. As a check, you
can look at the files created by Opus in the T: directory to see the exact
commands it is executing and then check if the command script can access
the programs nammed.
As far as the LHADIR scripts supplied, these were provided by 3rd party
but I and many others are it without significant problems as far as I am
aware ??
