Hank: Do you know whether or not your 4000 has a revision 3.1 or above of the processor card? The 3.0 version absolutely will not work well with the 4091. // John (Warp 4040 & ShapeShifter Quadra 840) \X/ jgager@BMI.NET

Just to back up on your note. I have a rev 3.1 system with a rev 11 buster. Any other thoughts? Hank Videology, Inc Where you always get P.O.M.P. and Service under all circumstances

Well the only other idea is that a few 3.1 processor cards escaped from Commodore without all of the upgrades needed to make the 4091 work. I was one of the lucky ones to get this card and it took a long time to get a replacement. If you get Amazing Computing magazine, you can read my sad story in the "Bug Bytes" column in the December 93 issue. Anyway, U209 on the A3640 processor board must be a revision -02 PAL (Part number 391472-02). If it is a revision -01 PAL, then operation with the 4091 will be flakey (crashes). Once I got all the upgrades I needed the 4091 worked like a charm, but it was a long road to success. // John (Warp 4040 & ShapeShifter Quadra 840) \X/ jgager@BMI.NET
