Hmmm. A new hard disk system (new controller, too) works very nicely, but
I'm having troubles getting my 386 to play in the new configuration.
It may be Flipper that's giving the trouble .. but the more I look at it the
more puzzled I get. Now, I know the flipper icon is a fake: it's really
called " flipper .info" (note those spaces ahead of and behind "flipper", and
what's more, is hoked up as a Project type icon, with SYS:PC/Flipper as the
default tool.
But Flipper itself has protection bits rw-d, which means it's not executable.
Kicking on the 'e' bit, still causes flipper to be a non-happening, even when
called from cli/shell with "SYS:PC/Flipper auto" .. no flippin' window. On one
occasion I got a "return code 20" advice.
Meanwhle, the BB side reports (of course) a "diskette drive 0 seek failure".
Which blocks me from installing DOS.
Didn't think changing hard drives would cause so much trouble. There's
likely something obvious that I'm missing, but I can't see it right now. Sigh.
