To All,
I am looking for advice, documentation, books, etc. about the EGS graphics
system and specifically it's use with and on the GVP IV24 card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I would like to get as much use and
benefit from my recently purchased A3000 and GVP Imapct Vision 24 while I save
for a 060/A4000T Toaster/Flyer setup (should only take me a few years of saving
<G>). My current system includes:
NEC Multisync2A monitor 10Mb fast RAM IV24 card FinalWriter4 AdPro2.3 MorphPlus
DPaintIV ImageFX1.5 Imagine1.0 (could never get to work reliably) Caligari24
DCTV AutoPilot 1.80 (GREAT program!) etc…..
I would like to use a higher color and higher resolution workbench, AP and
FinalWriter screens. One of my main goals with this system is to produce
better and entertaining home videos and eventually do some training videos for
work.

Waiting just "two more weeks" <G> for my 060/A4000T

I guess its time to get off my butt and restart this project !
I had a rather frustrating time coping with the .dms files I got when I DL'd
the EGS software. Eventually I ended up with a set of install disks, the
install went smoothly, and on rebooting my system crashed !
I learnt about DiskSalv in a hurry, and underwent frantic attempts to undo
whatever had happened. Then vacation time happened and on my return I finally
discovered my problem was related to my 68040.library file (don't know if it
was the install or my attempt to recover or what).
I suggest you proceed with caution and after the install check your Monitors
and WBStartup drawers against the documentation before you reboot.
BTW this was Rev 6.2, I think you need this before you attempt 7.0.
Anyway AMosaic looks awful in ECS so I'll try and get back to this project in
the interest of prettier pictures.
I'll keep you posted.
