Hi All; I'm in trouble and am accessing the forum from a (ugh) PC. Suddenly,
tonight, my Micro R&D modem won't recognise a dial tone. This PC is accessing
dial tones from the same line with its own modem. The modem power supply seems
fine. Does anyone have any helpful advice for me as to how I can figure a way
out of this quandary. Will check for any help in a.m.

I'm not familiar with the Micro R & D modem but if it's an ordinary external
model why not try your modem on the PC to help determine whether the problem is
the modem or your Amiga's serial port.

Good idea but the problem was much simpler…a function of stupidity on my
part.
