Hi; Last night, I sent a "panic button" message requesting help because my modem wasn't recognising any dial tone. My daughter's friend had his new laptop PC here and let me use it to send the message. I am embarrassed to say that after sleeping fitfully all night, trying to figure out the problem, I realised this a.m. that I replugged the phone cable into the wrong port on the modem after we had used the PC to "give it a run". It has its own internal modem, so I disconnected mine, letting the PC use my dedicated line. Pretty stupid! Pax Vobiscum! Hank from northern N.J. running A2000 GVP'040@33

Hank….. I suspect we've all done that, at least once or twice. <g> —Betty
