#Toaster flicker

I have two Toaster systems. One is an Amiga 2000 with the older board, and one
is an Amiga 4000 with the new Toaster board. On the old system I have a
flicker fixer on the connection to my 1950 monitor. My dealer tells me that no
such product exists for the 4000 to correct my 1960 monitor. I realize this is
not a Toaster question per se, but would appreciate your general info on what
to do about flickering on the new system. It really makes running an otherwise
fine product a drag. TIA -dk
PreVue Technologies makes a product, the Sync Strainer, that lets you view a
stable, synchronized image on multi-sync monitors such as the 1960. Since it
is not a line doubler, scan doubler, or de-interlacer like the Flicker Fixer,
you WILL have interlace flicker. This is really noticeable in LightWave and
modeler, since the fine horizontal lines are just the stuff flicker is made of.
But at least you can run all of your high scan-rate software from Workbench and
see your way around the Switcher screen.

Thanks Bruce. I neglected to mention that I am already running with a Sync
Strainer and was hoping to improve on that situation. Thanks for your quick
response, it is much appreciated.
