Tempo problem

I have been attempting to use Tempo (disk 7) to modify the rotational velocity of an object. The problem is that for the first 140 frames of the animation, the object is not supposed to rotate. Every time I try using Tempo, some rotation appears in the first 140 frames. I have attempted applying tempo with active segments, track fit, etc. but it's always the same. Any help will be appreciated. Andy

Did you check the Continouity setting? This should be a motion over shoot, try set Continouity to 0 between the key frames that you want your object to hold still. Hope I helped.

I see this all the time, screwing with continuity to prevent motion overshoot. The real man's <g> way of handling this problem and related problems such as reverse motion from a key is to use the BIAS. Don't mess with continuity unless you really mean it! To get a motion to end on a key exactly, set the bias to 0. It'll stop right there, believe me. To get a motion to start right on a key, set bias to 50. It won't budge until that key! Fooling with continuity will is liable to create some motion anomilies you don't expect, unless, you're seeking just the effect that changing it creates. I suggest some experimentation. You'll see what I mean. Regards, BP
