I have been using the DOS version of Imagine since its first release.
Honestly, the first release gave me quite a few headaches. Version 2.9
however, is great! I have run into only small (not even mentionable) problems,
and the technical support is very good. The only two things I see lacking are
1) Some sort of file-swapping to generate very large images that won't fit in
RAM and 2) Lack of good documentation (which I hear they'll be changing for
2.0).
All in all, You can't beat it for the price, and Imagine can accomplish most
things that the MUCH more expensive products can do.
