I was just wondering after reading the files on 3d max that there was a small blurb on continued support for the dos versions of 3d studio. Mainly of interest was the addition of a patch modeler and the ability to convert files to vrml, can you elaborate on this some more? Thanks Sam

3DSR4 will continue into the sunset as 3D Studio Classic. The 3DS-VRML IPAS is freeware. (I think) I got mine at Siggraph. Perhaps it should be posted here on the forum?????

Hi Sam, << Mainly of interest was the addition of a patch modeler >> This will be sent to all registered owners of 3DS. It is written by Minerva Software. If you haven't taken the time to register your product yet, please do. << and the ability to convert files to vrml >> you can find it at ftp.autodesk.com/pub/multimedia/vrml/vrml.zip and it should also be available at the Autodesk WWW site. jonas[adesk]

When will the patch modeler be sent out? I sent in my registration card about 2 weeks ago!
