I am developing an C++ (MFC) application under Windows 95 and I have problems working with the MCI. I wish I could work with the Animation Support Libraries, but I think there is no 32 bit version aof AAPLAY.LIB, or is there one….? The problem is: I want to play 2 different FLC animations in two different windows and restart each when it has finished (loop it). As there seems to be no way to tell the MCI to loop it on its own, I react to the MM_MCINOTIFY messages and restart the animation. This works perfectly. But each time I restart the animation, the window comes in front of all others windows. How could I prevent this behaviour? Can anyone help me, or just tell me where to get help? Thanks, Martin Schatz

Johann, You are correct, there is no 32 bit version of the ASL. <<I want to play 2 different FLC animations in two different windows and restart each when it has finished (loop it). >> I do not know of a way to do this with MCI driver commands, but if you make calls directly to the DLL you should be able to do this with no problems. <<But each time I restart the animation, the window comes in front of all others windows. How could I prevent this behaviour?<< With the MCI drivers you can't. Each time you restart the animation, you are causing the animation window to receive focus. However you might be able to create a workaround using a script file. Have the MCI driver call up a script file instead of an FLC file. In the script, you could have previously set the number of loops that you want the FLC file to run. (The reason I am not sure this will work, is I am not sure that even with a script file when the animation loops it might take focus. I don't think it does, but I would have to test it out to be sure.) -Brian
