I am looking for a relatively low cost application that can
generate 3d text meshes from Postscript and or true type fonts
(or any other source) This application must be able to export to
DXF or 3DS file formats. I find the 2d shaper in 3D Studio a
little too ponderous and quircky to rely on for the high volumes
of 3D text I must produce. Building the text in AutoCAD is also
too slow a process even with the many 3d enhancements I have
created with AutoLisp. Contact me here or at kaplancon@aol.com if you know of
any such application.
Thank's
Rick
Check out Font3D I think that there is a demo available here or in the
showcase forum. I have only looked at the demo but at less than $50 to register
it is a great price. It runs under Win and allows you to play with the extruded
text before you export it. It is definitely worth a look.
