(A) Amiga modem is now out, it's buyable here and there, haven't seen it in
SoCal yet but a friend saw it on a dealer's shelves in Orlando FL. Comes
bundled with AmigaTerm and Procomm (for the Transformer side). Oddly
enough, 1.2 Release does not allow running of the Transformer, so keep
those 1.1 disks around if you want to use your PC software on the Amiga!
For those of you who've seen "Telecraft", forget ever seeing it released
commercially. Commodore considers it "vaporware." (B) Sidecar is having
serious problems passing FCC certification. The word I have is: don't
expect to see it prior to Xmas if even by then. Major redesign of the case
is in process. Friends in Canada however report it IS available there,
however how difficult it'd be to bring one into the USA I'm not sure.
Canada's "version" of the FCC is apparently much more lax as far as
emission of RF from electronic wares is concerned. The above info comes
from inside CBM, I'm not making this stuff up.
