anything we should be wearing when we are here? (And no editor would help. I
haven't got the slightest idea how to spell appparral. apparel? aparrell?

Sounds like you need Turbo Lightning. It sits there in the background
checking spelling, and beeps at you if you misspell a word. Like apparral
(just got a beep). Then hitting the right hot key gives a list of "sound alike
words", which, in this case, includes "apparel".
