Amiga vs. C128

Hi, A friend of mine who currently owns a C64 is planning to purchase a C128. He has mentioned many times that he would like and wants an Amiga also. I upgraded so-to-speak to an Amiga from a C64 and have been trying very hard to persuade him to forget the C128 and go ahead and buy an Amiga (which he says that he will buy `one day'). I feel that he would get more out of the purchase of an Amiga and should save the money that he would be spending on a C128. We are currently running a BBS on his C64 and I offered him my C64 (he has my drives for use with the BBS so I have no need for the computer itself) to use untill he bought an Amiga. His main reason for wanting a C128 is for C64 compatablity and for a certain terminal program called `Bobsterm' (?) that runs in C128 mode. Now for the reason I am boring you with all of this. Can anyone give me any price for power ratio kind of information to help persuade him. I would like info on subjects like current capabilites of the machines in comparisons and expandability in the future. He is very interested in Music and MIDI and I think IBM compatability might help (ala Sidecar). If anyone can give me any help I would greatly appreciate it. The reason I am doing this is because he is kind of careless with his money and makes rash decisions which he regrets later. I want the Amiga to do well and am trying to push another machine on someone who could benefit from it now instead of purchasing a C128 and then getting an Amiga. Thanks for any help and I am sorry for the long, boring message. Tom
