Is there any document within the forums libraries that could GUIDE a
rookie to set up his communications package? I own an Amiga 1000, CTS Datacomm
2424 ADH Modem, and two communications programs – "ONLINE! 2.0" & "DIGA". I
have read and reread the manuals and the more I read the less I understand. I
currently access FISHNET as tropical fish are my business. I can read and
reply to messages online but have been unable to do so offline and upload
them.My problems are many but here's a good place to start.

Bill, I am a marine aquaria person and try to log onto FISHNET once a day.
Read SAVMON.HLP (DL1) for info on creating msgs offline to be uploaded later.
Also read EZSIG.HLP (DL1) it will give you some tips for navigating the forums.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Bill, I also use an Amiga A1000, CTS 2424 ADH, and OnLine! v2.01. A couple of
tips. Upgrade to OnLine! v2.01. It corrects a bug in v2.0 that causes OnLine
to hang when CIS does a terminal inquiry or during stray noise. Program your
CTS modem with the features you like in non-volitile memory and then don't
initialize the modem with a startup script file from OnLine. This makes life a
lot easier. The CTS modem responds to speed and parity changes nicely. It
does not need to be told these items from OnLine in script.

Thanks, I will give it a try. Bill
Bill, if you need any more specific help with programming the CTS modem or
setting-up OnLine!, leave me a message here or use EasyPlex. Also, you can ask
questions of MicroSystems Software directly by leaving a message to them
[76703,447] in this forum or the TELECOMM forum.
