Rick, I just bought a mic from Bernie at MAO but I need some help. This mic an
Electrovoice BK-1 has the three pin connector. I need to get a cable for it
that ends in 1/4 plug. My local music store has a Peavey cable that fits but
he THINKS it's a high-impedance cable (the mic is low-imp) and isn't sure if
the cable will work. Does a low-imp mic need a high-imp cable or viceversa?
Does it matter? I can't test it because of problem two.
Problem 2- I bought the mic because it works from an internal battery (I don't
have phantom power). Unfortunately, the battery is a 4.5 volt and is AA size.
Standard AA batteries are 1.5 volt). It needs an Eveready 523 or Mallory PX21.
I can't find any music, electronic, or camera store that has heard of this
battery. Any ideas where to find one?
