Roger,
I designed the adaptor for the 1000 to 500/2000 MIDI interface that was
printed in AC. I just wanted to let you know that I've recieved two reports
that this adaptor does _NOT_ work with the Golden Hawk Amiga 1000 interface.
Unfortunatly, no one has stuck with me long enough to make it work. I suspect
that it is a power supply problem (not enough) from some of the symptoms given
me and would require very simple component value changes to make it work.
Your question seems to be going the other way though, you want to use a
500/2000 on a 1000. This would be extremely simple since you needn't use any
form of voltage regulator, simply swaping the correct power lines would be all
that is needed. Let me know if you need any further help.
