AMIGA 2000 ADVERTISING

Our company has decided (based on information garnered here) to purchase an
Amiga 2000 with the progen genlock board and Zuma Software to test for
insertion in our turnkey package that we offer to cable operators, who want
to start inserting local commercials in their systems. We offer on the
business side a Mitsubishi MP 286 that is quite good at running the
business side of the operation. If you would like to be informed of our
findings and test results, kindly drop me a line via EMAIL. As far as we
know, we are the first company to admit publicly tha we are using an AMiga
instead of the more expensive Chryon family.
You may be interested to note that on HBO a short time ago, they had a
"technical difficulty". They flashed the "Please Stand By" graphic, which
promptly displayed a "guru" (an error message unique to the Amiga).
MicroIllusions will soon be releasing a time code reader and assorted
software to allow the Amiga graphics to sync to time code. Call me there

Manhattan Cable TV uses Amiga's, at last check. I don't know if they admit
to it, but once in a while they guru and you can see the guru, then the wb
screen when they reboot!
Interesting. There is at least one other outfit in Northern Virginia using
A2000's to do a lot of video work for TV. I read a message just recently
on a local BBS from a guy who participated in the making of some
commercials in which all the graphic artwork was done on a 2000. Also, a
local TV station supposedly does all their weather maps on a 2000. Maybe
they won't 'fess up to it, though.
