Jim, You make some good points concerning Amiga magazines. However, I sold my
entire Atari setup, including software, for $1,500.00 before I bought the
Amiga, and I'm glad I did. I have never been nostalgic for the Atari, although
I thought I would have been. The Atari was a great computer, but all the fire
and brimstone was gone. There was really no software support for it in the last
year I owned it. I think the Amiga now carries all the excitement. In any
event, the Atari 130XE was still superior to the Amiga in a few important
areas. Namely, screen updates, screen editing, and disk drive speed. The Amiga
is very slow and the Atari was very fast. I don't like comparing computers
however. The Amiga is great. I just wish they would fix some of its problems.
