DEAR SYSOP: I UPLOADED A FILE CALLED CYCLE.ARC. MY TERMINAL PROGRAM (ONLINE?) SCREWS UP AFTER A TRANSFER AND ASCII IS GARBLED, SO I LOGGED OUT, STARTED DIGA, AND UPLOADED IT AGAIN. SO, IF YOU SEE 2 CYCLE.ARC'S, USE THE SECOND ONE. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO SWITCH FROM THE ALTERNATE CHARACTER SET TO THE NORMAL ONE? SOME ALT KEY I THINK. THANK YOU AND GOOD DAY DAVE ARENDASH (USER ID UNCARED)

Dave, If memory serves correctly CONTROL-O will get you out of the alternate character set. AND, if you will release the Caps-Lock key, you can use both upper and lower case in your messages. See how much easier it is to read? On the upload, if two uploads with identical names come from the same person, the second will automatically replace the first one. So that will take care of your upload from our end. Thanks for the upload. Betty

Betty, is that true even if the upload is in a diffent forum. I uploaded Cycle.arc months ago in the games directory of what is now the AmigaArts forum. Is that the conflict? Is it possible to have to identical names in different sections of the SAME forum? -Mike
