I've been waiting over 1 year for the 80286 Bridge Board for the Amiga 200I've watched several opportunities to bring the Amiga 2000 into my company pass by sinc is not AT (80286) compatable. I need to have this compatability at home to do much of my work.aV$ My question to everyone is when is Commodore going to release the 80286 Bridge Card. They are giving away a potential market by their now won't cut it any more. Are they going to let the Christmas season pass and loose home markoket as well? If anyoout there knows, or has any ideas on the 80286 bridge card release date, please respond. THanks Rocco

We don't even know if they will ever release it – after all, they showed off a 'concept', not a ready to be shipped product. Besides, its taken them so long they should also be shipping an 80386 board as well. Ron

Rocco, The best information I have seen says "Oct/Nov". I've wondered if it might be at the World of Commodore the first week of November, but this is just personal conjecture. Betty

Well, nobody KNOWS, with the exception of Allah (peace be unto him). That includes the folks at Commodore. However… a month ago the Chairman of C= told me that it would be shipping in "40 to 60 days." Take it for what it's worth. — Art

Is that 40 to 60 days using a normal calender or is it the CBM Calendar that has the definition of REAL SOON NOW on it? Seriously, I can't see what the delay is here. We are not talking about State of the Art Technology anymore with an AT 80286. I get the impression that CBM has only one hardware techie who must develop Monitors, Chips, Boards and Computers. At my user Group on Long Island, one of the developer of CBM's PVA board is a member. He says he turned over to them the final version in April of 1988. They have not come back to him requesting any modifications, thus he can't understand why it has not been released. Rocco
