Jerry actually has been saying several nice things about the Amiga recently. I,
for one, was more interested in one of his recent Infoworld columns, where he
related how he visited a facility at Stanford where *everyone* had an Amiga on
their desk, and *everyone*, from the secretaries to the research physicists,
was doing programming with it, using Arexx. (He then led into a short
discussion of Personal REXX on the PC, which is, IMHO, far inferior to Arexx,
but then again, Personal REXX is crippled from the start by Messy DOS's brain
damaged system… <grin>)
Short, but on the whole, rather positive. As for the back up slur, there was
none in the Infoworld column, but in the Byte column he did make noises about
how much Amiga software was Copy Protected, and how he thinks (incorrectly)
that there are no copy programs out there which can copy most such software.
Someone should send him one… <grin>
