#Upgrade Woes
4 messages in this thread
Hope you can help me. I have responsibility for about 60 PC's, with around
6-10 containing pagemaker. I need to upgrade to the new windows, but when I
checked I found out that my users have not been sending in the registration
cards. If I send these in with my upgrade request, will I get my upgrades
ok? Is there any other way I can upgrade. I have all of the registration
forms that did not go in.
Dave.
No problem, just gather all of the registration cards, make sure that they
are all filled out by each user, and send them all together with $25 for
each upgrade to 3.01, and please include a short note asking for the
upgrade. When you send them in it should take about 3 weeks for delivery.

Thanks… Will do. Also, will this automatically register the new version,
or will we have to re-register the new version (We are anxiously waiting
for 4.0, and I want to avoid a similar situation)
Upgrades are not serialized, once you register, we retain your old serial #
for all future upgrades and that will be the only file we have on you. As
you upgrade to future versions, you will need to remember what your old
serial # is.
So you won't need to worry about reregistering your next version, you may
just need to worry about keeping track of your previous versions serial #.
What I would suggest is to write it on the inside cover of the User manuals
as well as on the program disk, that way your users won't be confused about
where their serial #'s are if they call us for some help.
Have a good long weekend.
