My a3000 died this morning, after I turned it off, waited a few seconds and turned it back on, it will no longer boot. The kickstart menu displays without pressing both mouse buttons with the harddisk option ghosted over. When I select boot 2.0/floppy, a message that says "Error can't get memory, Reboot system" is displayed. I opened the box up and pushed all the ram chips in, same thing. BTW it was working fine for several weeks after I inserted ram chips. Any help before I take it to a dealer?

Mark, I'd say don't even bother…take it to the dealer's. My first suspicion would be bad RAM, my second would be mouse and/or mouse port (and associated circuitry). Don

Thats what I am sure I will have to do, it just happened at a bad time, no dealer access until tuesday, I thought if it was something simple I could do it mysel I think that the ramsey chip went bad. Thanks.
