Hi Glad to be back! That yak's butter is terrible! (Worst than Amiga DOS!!!) I have de-arcing a simple textfile: Beast2 and now I want to try an Art Picture, one to use with Deluxe Paint III (IFF I imagine) any suggestion for something not to complex? (Thank you by the way for helping me without getting discouraged by my slow learning capacity to say the least!!

Andre – if you can unpack one LHARC file, you can unpack them all. Just always use all the switches in the unpacker line -: LHARC -M -X X ……. The -X tells it to keep the subdirectories in the file and unpack them properly. the -M tells it to make the needed subdirectories without yelling at you about each little one. The X itself tells it to unpack the files. If there are no subdirectories (as in the case iwth your Beast2 file), the -M and -X do no harm, and if they are needed, they save you some work. I always use them, no matter what kind of file I'm un-LHARC-ing. I think one of the best pictures in our galleries is MMGLAS.LZH (hope that is the exact title) in Library 8 of AmigaArts. Personal preference, of course. I hope you have a good viewer, like Superview or Mostra, to display the IFF pictures for you. Betty

Andre: If you want to put it into DP III, make sure it is NOT a HAM image. DP III will not handle them. Otherwise, just about anything is ok. (Also not supported, but sorta rare, are SHAM and DYNAxxx pics.) ?|^] Ray Lewis
