Devil's Tower, Wyoming (of course!) The badlands of South Dakota Grand
Canyon Copernicus Crater (on the moon), and Tycho. There's a bulls-eye
structure on the farside of the moon, name forgotten Meteor Crater,
Arizona. Valle Marineris, Mars Sea-floor features, like the Mid-Atlantic
rift or some of the trenches
Question: if most USGS data is NOT in DEM format, is it available on disk
in some =other= format? How difficult is conversion. If it is tedious but
not difficult, farm it out to us enthusiasts! If it is a feasible
conversion, write (or get someone else to write) a conversion program.

Devil's Tower and Meteor Crater have been ordered. Not much of South
Dakota has been mapped yet. We will try to get ALL extra-terrestrail data
that we can. Undersea data is still being tracked down.
All of the US has been mapped in 7.5 meter topographic maps. These are
paper entities that don't fit well in disk drives, though I'd be willing to
try if I thought I could get the data that way. <grin> There is a very
small amount of Digital Line Graph data that hasn't been turned into DEM
data, but really very little. I guess you could enter map points in a point
at a time and convert it that way, but that would REALLY be tedious.
