As far as a video card goes I think the Pegasus VL is alright.
I called Vibrant and talked to tech support (leo) who said that
Pegasus is on the next driver release due out this week or next!
What i'm hoping is that will mean that I will get better
performance w/ the Pegasus VL than the Viper VL (w/o the Oak Chip) .
Am I better off saving money w/ the Viper and being able to buy
Liquid Speed now? Thanks, Gary
You can buy Liquid Speed anytime you want, since it is independant of
the Vibrant drivers (it's not a driver at all, but optimizes the
redraw pipeline in the 3D Editor and Keyframer modules). It does,
supposedly, run better with cards supported by the vibrant in-line
drivers, but will increase speed with pretty much any card/driver.
