The other is the Gold Disk method – charge $69 for a "full year fo free
upgrades", upgrad the program once (major revision) and say that it is not
covered by the update. That way you get the money to do the update work
then you get to charge for it to boot! It's where the Gold in the naem
came from….;^}

I think Manx did that once, too. It wouldn't be a bad idea if we did
release an update during that time, right? But how do we measure the year
– it would be a bureaucratic mess to determine this elapsed time period.
