Roy, I have the notes. I have also done all you suggest. The difficulties are the manager conveniently is never there (I'm beginning to think he doesn't exist as I can't get a name, even). The return authorization they will be happy to give me as long as the "restocking" fee is included! I sure as hell ain't gonna pay them to take back their mistake. And since they did not understand (i.e. respond to) polite English maybe they will understand impolite witholding of payment and product! After all, I've already wasted the cost of two long distance phone calls to Lattice and SAS to find out what Go-Amigo as a dealer in that producat should already have know or been able to find out. Even after calling them back and passing the information to them, Go-Amigo just "blew me off". Since, on SAS's advice I've opened the package, there is no returning it now, right? They informed me of the action their dealers were to take, and Go-Amigo has refused to follow that policy. They wont take it back/I can't send it back, its not what I ordered, I'm certainly not going to pay for it but neither will I throw it out. What to do, What to do…. wmc

Wayne – I guess you have tryed every possible route and it does appear that Go-Amigo is acting like real dumbsh*ts. You certianly SHOULD NOT have to pay a restocking fee – that is insane. And why the manager doesn't call you back is beyond me – company's that don't truely practice exceptional customers support are company's that aren't company's for long! The part about "…I've opened the package, there is no returning it now , right?" is not exactly true. Any software vendor worth anything would not let that matter in a case like this. I know that if you had bought the product from me – I would have no problem with the package being opened when returned. I mean, you cann't have a problem if you haven't openned the package to test it out – right? At least I would think one wouldn't know if there was a problem until you opened it. (scratching my head – trying to think of an exception). Besides – I offer a 7+ day satifaction policy for the sfw. I sell. (Patterned my Return Policy after Briwall & kept a 'restocking fee' clause just to keep the game pirates honest) Now, I guess, the thing to do would be to write letters. Or, probably just wait awhile – after Go-Amigo figures out you stopped payment on the CC, you'll hear from them. ;| Then write them a reply and start the story from scratch. You'll probably get somewhere then. Wayne, I really want you to get this matter solved to your satifaction. It's really ashame that these big guys can really get an attitude – It's like they are wearin' blinders or somethin'. The guys who answer the phone are really only there for the sale! It's scary to think how many people they have had problems with and how much they have collected in "restocking fees"! You have done right to warn us all about this matter with Go-Amigo (why do I always have to backspace the 'a' out and type 'o' 🙂 ) How are you going to get 5.1 now? Do you have to wait for this case to solve first? At first I thought you were, maybe, overreacting. But, now, I'm on your [ MORE ]
