I noticed when I DLed version 1.9b that there were two other files, one an
update to the main program, and one an update to View! Should I DL both of
those now, or wait till you receive my money (which was sent yesterday!)?

The other files are for the convenience of registered users who are
updating. They do not contain the doc or the auxillary files that new users
will need. So, no, as a new user, you do not need them.
